I’m Lila Katz (pronounced ‘cots.’) In December of 2022 I earned my Bachelor’s in Human Development and Family Sciences from the University of North Texas in Denton, and absolutely fell in love with everything I learned. My course work involved classes on human development across the life span, reading and understanding research, culture and diversity, and experiences of families in crisis. Additionally, I earned my Bachelor’s in History which added depth to my understanding of the family unit. My education has inspired my deep love and respect for the journey families go through. In April of 2023 I began work as an infant teacher, a truly life-changing experience that taught me the amazing fulfillment of caregiving.
I am now embarking on my next journey as a postpartum doula. I am currently working towards my certification through DONA International. I have completed my class in postpartum support from Teri Nava-Anderson PhD of Harmony Doula Mentoring, as well as over 1,000 pages of required readings. I look forward to walking alongside your family through the early days!
